Mum Love.

About

Mum Love started with one question: why didn't I know this? The founders asked it after becoming a mother and feeling completely lost, and that question became a charity built by mums, for mums, to talk openly about the identity loss and role confusion so many women feel after having a child but rarely hear named out loud.

The website had to hold that honesty. Rather than clinical language, it's built around real, unfiltered stories from mothers at every stage of finding themselves again, alongside practical resources and a community that actually listens.

At the centre of the site is Kate, an AI companion trained by therapists and shaped by real mums. Kate is there for the moments other support can't reach, the 2am spiral, the quiet worry nobody wants to say out loud yet. In her first five months, roughly one in three conversations with Kate happened between midnight and 6am, a clear sign of when mothers need somewhere to turn.

The site also carries Mum Love's own research: 55% of new mums report a loss of identity, 68% report heightened anxiety, and 52% say their career direction changed after becoming a mother. A YouGov partnered survey found that 1 in 7 pregnant women and 3 in 4 new mothers struggle with their changing role. These numbers shaped the site's tone, structure and every word on the page.

That work has already been noticed well beyond the mums who visit the site. Mum Love has presented its findings at Downing Street and been invited back for a parents' reception with government ministers, real recognition that a small, mostly volunteer led charity is shifting the conversation.

Mum Love shows what a website can do when it's built with care: hold real stories, offer real support, and help shift how a whole issue is seen.
