Owl Legal is a Luxembourg-based boutique law firm specializing in private capital. The website’s visual concept is built around the eye of the owl — a symbol of vision, wisdom and strategic insight that reflects both the firm’s name and philosophy. This motif became the foundation of the entire art direction. A series of custom visual assets and abstract compositions were developed around the eye, forming a cohesive visual language throughout the website. Inspired by contemporary digital painting and subtle Fauvist influences, the design blends expressive colors, painterly textures and light effects to introduce an artistic dimension rarely seen in the legal sector.
From the beginning, the client wanted to disrupt the conventions of their industry, where originality and distinctive branding are often overlooked. The challenge was to create a website that stands out visually while maintaining the clarity, credibility and rigor expected from a top-tier law firm. The experience is enhanced by numerous subtle animations and interactions built using Squarespace, SquareKicker and Spark, combined with custom code to create fluid transitions and immersive visual effects.
The result is a concept-driven website that merges editorial structure, refined motion design and a bold visual identity to translate Owl Legal’s expertise into a distinctive digital experience.
