Les Journées Brésiliennes (LJB) is a cultural festival celebrating Brazilian heritage while fostering meaningful connections between Brazil and Québec. Designed as a fully bilingual one-page experience (Portuguese and French), the website translates a rich, multi-day cultural program into a clear, engaging single scroll that guides visitors effortlessly from discovery to participation. Faced with a complex program and numerous cultural partners, the core design challenge was restraint. The solution prioritizes a clear narrative structure that surfaces essential information — what the festival is, when it happens, and where to experience it — immediately easy to find, while deeper content unfolds naturally as users scroll.
The visual direction blends joyful, vibrant colors inspired by Brazilian culture with a clean, structured layout that maintains clarity, readability, and focus. Subtle, purposeful motion adds energy and rhythm without distracting from the content. Supported by major institutions including the City of Montreal and the Brazilian Consulate in Montreal, the website positions LJB as more than an event listing.
It functions as a cultural bridge, where every design decision supports connection, collaboration, and accessibility — delivering a complete, memorable experience within a single, thoughtfully crafted page.
